Canon Extended Preset Editor

hi

I owned a XHA1, read the forum
It's very helpfull, but i've never posted here.
Done today.

I've tested presets, but found it wasn't easy to keep trace of adjustments and so on.
So, i decided to write my own preset editor because i found the camera could read presets with extra infos beyond the first 40 bytes (file size) without bugs.

Now, i can edit cam parms (standard preset) and add comments, author, or other infos IN the CPF files.
I can generate TXT files too, and copy cam preset to the clipboard.

Sharing becomes easy. May be for you

It can be found here : ftp://olamus.dyndns.org/
XHCPF.zip

enjoy !

Appreciate it. However I'm not too comfortable installing something in a language I can't read. Any chance of a English version? I cancelled the install after the 1st step came up in French.

Thanks John, but I've been aware of that one as well as the XH Editor, both which have been posted here. I was never too fond of either interface, but they ARE free :) & I commend anyone who dedicates their own time regarding this.

I looks like Olivier wrote his own program that allows extended info, etc. to be saved with the preset. Seems innovative, & hope I can try it some day.

Oups, sorry Bill.

Of course, English install version is OK now.

ftp://olamus.dyndns.org/XHA1CPF.exe
(zip SFX)

I have some ideas to manage more easily CPF files on SD card (or HD folder). I'm confuse with them without something clear.
It's annoying the cam use only preset01 to preset20.
I plan to develop a kind of database with XHA1CPF to fix it

Olivier, we all appreciate your efforts, but this one has a different install, but it's still in French.

now XHCPFTAG Autodetects the SD Card when inserted or removed and thus can Autocopy files to the SD card with a backup feature.

Hi Olivier,

Very nice program you made there!
I would like to ask if I can put your files on my website for the Dutch A1 users to download.
I have a website about the A1 and I want to build up stuff.
Of course I will mention your name, website or anything else.

TIA

Gert

Hi Gert,

thx for tour support.
sure, you can put the files. I've look at your site but i don't speak german.
And the link below...

And today :
Just a bug fixed about dates in backup folder names plus update the 'about box'.

Now the link is a web page : http://olamus.dyndns.org/xhcpftag/

The FTP will stop soon.

Heilige Strohsack ! (Pardon my German language) German ? Nooo noo...my website is completely in Dutch :-) Ha ha ha...but the Dutch contains a few transformed German words. No worries about it.

But thank you very much. I will write an article about it and put the file for download on my website.

Keep up the good work !!

Gert
