Deinterlacing footage on capture

Well I have been playing with my captured footage from my A1 for a few weeks now, trying to find the best workflow possible. I noticed that my clips, captured through cineform and converted to intermediate files, shows to be 1440x1080 interlaced upper field first. I have been experiencing a small problem with "twittering", lines on straight edges that move in my footage (after capture and downconverted to SD). I only really see them after downconverting and burning to DVD. They seem to disappear after adding a "reduce interlace flicker" filter. So since 2+2 is 4, then even though I am converting to a progressive 30P, I am experiencing some sort of interlace issue, so, I have an option to Deinterlace 1080i on the capture with cineform to a 1080P. How do you other A1 users handle the capture and downconvert as far as deinterlacing? Or, do you leave it interlaced..The interlaced footage I have seen looks like a cheap local TV commercial. That is if downconverted and burned to DVD. Looks awesome on HDTV though. Thanks! J
