35mm, which one is best?
Hi everyone,
can anyone tell me which is the best adapter for xha1 to get a film-like image? Thanks |
Movietube or mini35 are the best if you have the budget. Get Cooke Lens too.
Actually there is no best , just a matter of budget and taste. M2 , Brevis , SGpro, WDR35pro, Letus , will all work with the A1 to give film like image. |
Once operational, this one will be the best, without a doubt :

not for the A1 it won't, not without an interchangeable lens

Why not ? It sates that it will works for a HVX, which is also a fix lens camera

Redrock Micro makes an adaptor kit called an M2 for mounting 35mm lenses (picture below). You will need a mounting kit, but the Canon XH-A1 does not require any extra shims or adaptors.
http://www.redrockmicro.com/micro35.html Here is a link to a chart showing what they reccomend for each camera: http://www.redrockmicro.com/camera_recommendations.html OR... You can make your own following their DYI manual: http://www.redrockmicro.com/diy_guide.html Stacy |
redrock is going to have a flip version soon as well (from what I've heard)
Am I reading it right on the zakuto site that the estimate for the new adaptor will be $12-15k?? Trish |

It comes with the lenses...so not a lot for the adapter then.

Thanks a lot to everyone!

Joan, we use the XH-A1 as one of our primary test cameras for the Brevis. The pics don't reflect our new carbon rails systems, but they still look pretty :-)

Any redrock footage around????
