24 fps question

I have a quick question.
I wanted t shoot video at 24 fps (2.3-3.2) so that it could be transfered to film.
But am i able to shoot 24 fps (2.3) so that it could be seen on tv, and then later transfered to film without losing any frames or synced sounds?

Hi Joe and welcome to DVinfo. IMO, shoot 2:3:3:2 for easy import and editing in a 23.976 progressive timeline. Once you're done editing, export whatever 24fps format needed for your film out. It is a minor matter to then export a separate 2:3 version from your NLE's 23.976fps timeline to create a 60i version for TV.

If you shoot 2:3, you'll just create unnecessary challenges for the 24fps output.

Hi Joe,

I'll second what Pete said. Shooting in 2:3:3:2 is much better the 2:3.
