Editing 30P

Hey guys, this is probably going to sound like a noob question, but here goes:) When editing 30P shot with the XL2, do you edit in a 29.97 timeline or 30P? Does the footage need to be reverse telecined? I've been working with 24P footage so much that I forgot the 30P workflow! Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Hi Ryan,

Been doing what you've been doing, shooting 24p, and forgetting the XL2's other shooting modes :)

Anyway, 30p is captured as 29.97 in your NLE timeline (PPro).

Best,

Same in FCP, Ryan. Regular 29.97 (anamorphic if 16:9) timeline. No advanced pulldown.
