Man this camera stinks.

I personally don't think so, but alot of people on this forum seem to think it's awful, and I'm tired of trying to read throuhg all the xl2 bashing muddled up in the actual threads. So here it is a thread where everyone who (already?) hates the xl2 can let it out, and that way those of us who don't want to pass judgement or want to defend it to the bitter end, can just avoid this thread all together.

Actually it's the other way around, Nick... those who think "this camera stinks" and who have passed judgement on it before it ever hits the shelves, need to get out of this forum.

DV Info Net's database contains nearly 200,000 posts. Of those, less than 1,000 are about the XL2. Which means that 99.5% of the traffic on this board is about something else.

I'm asking yet again for those who choose to put this thing down to please, please get on with their lives and find something else to talk about... we try to cover it all here on our message boards -- if there's an area we don't have, just ask and we'll try to accomodate. Meanwhile, let those who are seriously interested in the XL2 continue with intelligent discussions about it. They're not bothering anybody else. Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along.
