Which Rain cover - Portabrace or Kata?

So, Portabrace gets pretty specific
RS-XL-1/MA200 vs. RS-XL-1
I'm not sure how tightly they fit in these rain covers but, from the looks of things, the way the shoulder pad on the XL2 vs. the XL1 works would there need to be a new rain cover? Can we expect a RS-XL-2 from Portabrace?
Kata uses a lot of velcro on their CRC-11 and they point out that they allow fot the XL1's shoulder fold down pad to come out of the cover. Should I hold off looking at rain covers till the XL2 has been out and portabrace or kata has had time to make a new rain shield?

Does anyone have a side by side look at the XL2 and XL1? It would be nice in terms of where the physical differences are for ergonomic changes and such.

Having tried both, I selected the PortaBrace--tighter fit and better protection, I felt.

THe PortaBrace is considerably more expensive than the Kata....
But it's worth every penny IMHO. I've got the Kata, but I should have spent the extra money on the PortaBrace.
The XL2 with the shoulder pad doesn't look much bigger than an XL1 with a MA200. It might fit the same.

coolio
I've had a portabrace sling bag for the last three years and the hiker backpack for the xl1. both, minus a stain or two from leaky pens are still as sturdy as they day I bought them. They really do make the best stuff. I guess I'll be getting the portabrace rain cover as well. May as well keep everything color coordinated ;)

I was caught shooting in the heavy rain several days ago and a large trash bag with selectivly cut holes worked wonders for me. In addition, the eyebrow on the matte box kept the lens clean.

Wasn't as pretty as a Porta Brace but sure worked well in a pinch.
