>>You need to say those lines with in the resonate, "voice of God" narrative style of movie trailers.<<

Would you settle for Howard Cossell?

I got my date from multiple online dealers saying that it will be available on the 31st. Amazon was one of them and I trust them.

I'm sure a lot of us are getting the same email, but just in case some of us aren't, this morning the following email arrived from a major mail order store:

Dear Customer

You've previously requested to be notified when the following item comes in to stock:
Canon - CAXL2 - XL2 1/3-Inch CCD Widescreen MiniDV camcorder with 24P

This item did not come in to stock yet, However, we are now accepting pre-orders and the item will be shipped when it comes in to stock. If you still wish to be notified when it actually comes in to stock, please re-submit your request to be notified.

XL2 Shipments

I have my Fed Ex tracking number. Hope to have the unit tomorrow. I'll be running some tests over the extended weekend.

XL2 arrived this morning

I will post my impressions some time Tuesday. I will be shooting tests at Lake Tahoe and will be comparing the various progressive and interlaced modes. More later in a different thread.
