XL2 SMPTE Timecode - Is it LTC or VITC?

I've ben looking at the specs and it doesn't say if the TC is VITC or LTC or both. Does anyone know?

The reason that I ask is: I am hoping for VITC. If this is the case, code can be written to hide a lot of information in the vertical interval ie. focal length, aperature, shutter speed, etc.

Now that I think about it, I guess the vertical interval only exists at 60i. Is this correct?

Thanks.

It is neither. LTC and VITC apply to analog tape systems, not to MiniDV systems

The MiniDV signal recorded on tape does include time code, date, and and camcorder settings. This is covered in the manual.
