Nighttime- Movie

There probably is another post like this but have you ever been outside at night and you can see everything. Its all blue and all but you see everything. When you film it...its black. Is tthere a way i can make it so the camera takes everything in. Its hard to explain. Were makiing a ww2 movie and there is a night scene and if we have lights it will be cheezy. Some help plz.

"Day for Night" is the search you want to make. Shoot in daytime, expose for night. Make sure there are no harsh shadows, in post, add a 'blue' look. It's kinda cheezy, and not done much anymore in film, but it will give you the look fast and dirty, without having to shoot and light at night.

And make sure there's no sky in the frame, too! Shoot with the sun behind the actors and flag your lens.
