XL2 sync drift?

Does the XL-2 16-bit audio stream have a non-standard 16-bit sampling rate ... I think I have seen reports of 48,0005 or 48,0008 for some XL-1 / Xl-1s cameras ... which might lead to snyc drift with long clips brought into APPLE FCP? Has that been addressed by CANON, or was it never a problem in the first place. Truly confused ....

Thanks in advance.

I haven't heard of anyone complaining about such an issue with the XL2. If it existed, we would have heard about it by now.

Hallo
The only time I have heard of this was when someone had a problem with their heads on the XL2 and canon adjusted the rate including the audio and it was shifted as you mention. This was a problem capturing with Apple FCP. Apart from that thread there was no problem with a standard XL2. Hopefully of some use.

Yes thanks ... I was lead to believe by an "expert" that there was some universal problem with sync shift. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

My latest batch of 1 hour captures indicates a sample rate of 48009 ... very odd...
