XL2 Reset button

Does the XL2 have a reset button?

I remember a button or something on the tape side; but i'm not sure if it's the reset... but why do you need to reset the xl2? I think almost every thing can be turned on and off.

To force a hard reset for the XL2, remove both the camera battery and the little date / time battery.

If that doesn't do it, you're probably looking at a trip to the factory service center.
