Lanc terminal on the back of the XL2... what can I do with it?

It's a gizmo through which you can connect a remote controller to start/stop,
zoom and focus your camera.

In my opinion, a remote LANC controller is the single most important accessory you can buy, if you do a lot of shooting from a tripod.

i am shooting most, if not all of my events of a tripot. don't know how i could do it without my lanc remote control. (bogen)
