Head cleaning ???
 

Hi guys

Just a quick question. When using a cleaning tape do you simply play the tape through to clean play head or use record to clean recording heads?

And roughly how long do you run it for....10 secs??

just playing it for 10 sec's should do it.
on the instructions on my head cleaning tape it does not mention anything about recording, just playing. so thats all I have ever done and I have had no issues.

Just hit "play", and not record, while in vcr mode. Usually, I play the head cleaner for only 6 seconds at any one time. (Plus, don't rewind your head cleaner either. That may or may not be included in the head cleaner instructions.)
