Adapter holder
Does anyone know of a source? I bought a used XL2 and it was missing this piece, which I need really badly to mount a wireless receiver. I guess I could get it from Canon, but something tells me that's going to take forever. Anybody want to sell me theirs?

Not sure I understand exactly what you mean by "adapter holder". Maybe I don't have one either.
|
It's a metal (at least I think it's metal) doohickey that screws on the back of the camera to hold certain accessories. In my case, I want to velcro a wireless receiver to it.
|
I may have an extra one, I'll check later this afternoon when I get home and get back to you.
|
Actually, just heard from the seller, and he's found it, but thanks a lot!

Oh yeah. It is called an adapter holder. I always thought it was just a battery holder. It's really ugly – not at all like the rest of the Canon stuff.
How about double-sided tape (wonderful stuff) and just stick it to the handle, or on the back of the battery? |
I'm looking for a permanent solution. I don't like the idea of putting stress on the battery, and I don't want to interfere with the usefulness of the handle. It is a pretty heavy camera after all. BEC apparently makes a box that will hold my wireless system that mounts on the adapter holder, so that's looking like the way to go.

Marco,
Is there a URL for the BEC box? Thanks, Bill |

I got mine too wtihout the adapter holder and I want to start using a bauer plate. I fear I need to contact Canon in order to get one. If anybody can give me a tip to get one for less in europe, please tell!
