XL2's XLR Audio 3 not capturing

Hey guys
I had an staged event this past weekend where I had my centreback camera connected via XLR cable to the audio board. The XLR was connected to audio(XLR) 3 and I monitored it while recording the show and it was fine. Then when I captured the footage using a home camcorder I only got two tracks of audio. I had audio 1/2 for the audience reaction which was being used by the Canon mike. Does using a normal camcorder make a difference of capturing the 3rd audio and if it does what does the setting have to be on the XL2 for me to capture the footage b/c when do so with the XL2 I get dropped frames and it stops.

What NLE are you using to capture with? Some of them require a 'second pass' to capture from tracks 3/4.

Im using FCP 4.5

By default, your NLE is set to just capture the 1/2 tracks.

You need to adjust your audio capture preference settings in FCP to recognize the ch 3 /4 audio and run a second pass capture to get those tracks. Then you can just synch the tracks up. You can consequently do this 3/4 capture from just about any miniDVD camcorder so it doesn't require capturing from your XL2 to get those tracks captured onto your computer.
