Please include flip image option for Mini35 C

In the next firmware update for the H1, please include a flip image option. The MINI35 C from PStechnik will start shipping in March.

seconded! Are they really going to start shipping them in march? They've been pushing the release for over a year now.

AFAIK, The H1 already has an image flip built in when using non standard lenses, which in this case, would ring true. :)

???

It has not, as far as I (or we) know. (has been discussed before on the forum). H1 have only flip EVF. This will only affects the EVF display, and not the video signal.

If you don't have any secret work around (please tell us ;-).

Yes currently the XL H1 can flip the EVF image but not the recorded image.

The EVF flip option was tailor made for this particular P+S adapter, the feature has been in the camera all this time but this adapter is the first one that will enable the use of the EVF flip option (it works only if the XL lens is off the camera).

Some folks won't like hearing this, but in my opinion the option to flip the recorded image in-camera probably will not happen. Why draw on the camera's processor resources, possibly delaying the recording by another frame or two, for something that can be done in post? They're probably going to say "well, at least we're flipping it in the EVF" and leave it at that.

Chris, you may be right.

But as the XL H1 EVF is not the best, it sure should be nice to have a, for example component flip output (I think it's impossible and the EVF is not sharp enough for any 35 mm adapter, you need extra monitoring for focusing). Anyway it could be an option for those dp's who want to use it. I think JVC HD200 (or 250) has it, so it shouldn't be impossible...

Question; I'm just curious - doesn't the EVF flip work with Redrock for example?
