Canon XL-H1a

Does anyone know what the quality is like on the stock lens for the XL-H1a...any CA fringing at all? Is it sharp at the tele end?

Thanks

The CA on the new 20x lens is much better. It's still present is some situations though. But I don't think you'll ever get a lens in this budget range without some CA.

And I think the long end of the lens is the best looking. The 6x is brilliant in the wide range. But the 20x makes for a great close up lens (80-120mm range).

Thanks guys

Wolfgang..that CA is just as bad as my much cheaper HV20...thanks for pointing me to your blog. I've already asked this in another thread but got no reply...can the CA be removed in Post Production

Has anyone tried the XL-H1a with Canon 35mm L lenses at all, using the adaptor?

Dave
