AE shift knob work in 'M' mode

I have an XLH1. anyone know if the AE shift knob will work in 'M' mode. I manually adust the aperature. Everything I have read has to do with it working in TV mode.

According to the manual it only works in A, TV, or AV modes.

Have you tried it...

Eugene J. Kulak September 19th, 2010 09:13 AM

Yes, and it works as the manual states, however I am using a XLH1a...

The AE stands for auto exposure. When the camera is in Manual
program mode, there is no auto exposure, therefore the AE Shift
knob has no function in that mode.
