How to attach wireless transmitters to XLH1
 

I will be interviewing a number a subject and want to mike both of us with wireless lavs during the interview for maximum sound quality.

I can see that you can plug the transmitters into the rear of the Canon, but how do I attach the transmitters to the camera body? I don't want them to hang from the body by the XLR cables.

You didn't say what make of wireless system you have.

I'll take a punt and plump for the most obvious, the Sennheiser Gx series.

If that is what they are, they come supplied with a spring clip that attaches to the body of the trasmitter/ receiver AND a black plastic plate with a hot/cold shoe adapter.

If using two at once, one goes onto the cold shoe of the camera using the adapter plate slipped under the spring clip. The other is simply clipped to the RHS hand strap using the clip.The spring wire is so thin it doesn't impede camera operation or feel in any way.

Of course, if it isn't a Senny setup, I have no idea what they come with standard, but I would have thought both mounting options would be pretty common.
