first tv broadcast xlh1

ok so my tivo recorded an interesting program called chronical pictures, it was about how digital is taking over film, blah blah...but right in the middle of the broadcast in a news 5 boston station they have a xl h1 on a tripod and the lady says "this is the very camera used in the program you are watching now" she goes on to talk about how the xl h1 takes great still pictures...

when i get a chance i'll upload a clip of that...

Thanks for the info, Robert ! It's great to see that kind of camera used in a broadcast show.

Very nice. I added the clip to my budget 'tools' to help justify my upgrade from DV. (One of the reasons I got my XL1s was because management saw the same cams being used on reality TV shows. They frowned on spending $40k for a three chip SD, and couldn't believe a $4k mini-DV cam would cut it either. Now I'm telling that they have HD for less than $30K -history repeats itself).
