Marshall 7" HDA working for XLH1?

Hi,

just to be absolute clear. Will the COMPONENT OUT (D-) Terminal of the XLH1 work with the Marshall V-R70P-HDA (http://www.lcdracks.com/monitors/vr70phda.html) component inputs?

I see on page 101 of the manual that the DTC-1000 Component Cable has cinch connectors so one would need converters to BNC inputs of the Marshall. That is clear. But will it work at all?

I read somewhere else on the forum that only the more expensive SDI version of the 7" Marshall works (http://www.lcdracks.com/monitors/vr70phdsdi.html). Further on page 100 of the XLH1 manual it states that the component out will be in D3 1440x1080. But the Marshall manual states that it only accepts 1920x1080 or 1280x720, not 1440x1080. Is the 1440x1080 just refering to the actual resolution and will it conform to the 1920x1080 standard?

Has anyone running the Marshall V-R70P-HDA with the XLH1?

I would really need to know this, because I am just about to order one.

Thanks,
Jack

I think that's just referring to the HDV recorded resolution. It plays out as full-raster to comply to the 1080 standard. I hook up the H1 to my 1080i TV all the time with no issues.

I use the Marshall V-R70P-HDA and it works fine with the H-1. You do need to adapt the RCAm on the Canon cable to BNCf to the monitor. But the display is 16:9 and it's very sharp and clear. Very easy to see the focus with the Marshall monitor.

Barry,

thanks, that was the info I was looking for. Glad to hear that it is good for focusing, this is why I am getting the Marshall.

I was aware of the fact that i need to adapt the H1 component cable. But that is a minor issue.

Thanks a lot, I am ordering now.
Jack
