John Dunn Shoots 'The Watchmaker' with the Canon XLH1: http://www.digitalvideoediting.com/a...e.jsp?id=43567 |
I saw "The Watchmaker" demo at NAB in the Canon booth. They actually recreated one of the sets in the movie down to thew minutest details. The presentation at NAB was one of the best I saw. Canon basically did a live multi cam broadcast with the XL H1s.
We also got to see the finished footage form "The Watchmaker" and it was stunning. |
Is "The Watchmaker" posted on the web? I am unable to locate.
Thanks, Barry Gregg |
The Watchmaker demo is too long (therefore way too big) to offer as a full-res HD download. Plus there's the copyright permission factor from Canon USA. I'll see if I can talk them into allowing me to host an H.264 version of it here from DV Info Net.

Watchmaker
Canon also has a standard def DVD that contains "Watchmaker" which you could probably get from them.
Funny, whilst watching the DVD on a 67" 1080quasiP DLP monitor, I kept wondering how much better the footage would be if only there was a distribution format up to the TRUE resolution quality of the H1. (discounting a film-out projection of course). |
