Clip's up. Not sure how to link it

Chris Hurd May 27th, 2006 11:52 PM

Sorry for the delay, at SeaWorld all day with relatives. Just got back from San Antonio.

The link for Barlow's cool moon timelapse is media.dvinfo.net/xlh1/moonspeed3.movx

Download and then rename the file extension from ".movx" to ".mov"

Thanks Chris!

Just some simple info on the clip:

-- -3db
-- 1/48th shutter
-- Cinegamma 2 w/black press enabled, low knee
-- About 12-15 min. of real time footage
-- Captured m2t with DVHSCap on the Mac
-- Converted to PhotoJPEG QT via MPEG Streamclip
-- Sped up about 30x through FCP
-- Saved as a self-contained QT 1080 24p clip

The nice thing about this method rather than intervalometer is that you can choose the speed of the timelapse in post rather than a timed interval of frames at acquisition.
