Is mixing frame rates ok?

Hi,

I am about 3 months into shooting a doc. of a national park. I have shot in 24F to this point but would like to shoot 60 instead. My main goal is to make a DVD that could be sold. Is mixing the different frame rates going to be a problem? Would this eliminate any possibility of being able to sell to National Geographic, Discovery, ect.?

Thanks!

Just capture your 24F as 1080i, either via SDI or export through MPEG Streamclip as 1080i. I don't think mixing frame rates will be a problem at all depending on how good your content is.
