Macro comparison, 20x vs. 6x

Here's how the macro capability compares between the 20x and 6x XL HD lenses. The cup is held at an angle to show just how shallow D.O.F. is when working with macro (basically in macro mode, shallow depth of field is your enemy). Compare with the XH normal and WA macro images at http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=80716. As I mentioned there, this is rather unscientific; it's intended just to show how different the fields of view are. My apologies for the handheld, unprecise positioning. We'll do this again the right way later on. In both images the focus distance to the blue dots below the "R" is about 20mm. Iris f/1.6, shutter 1/60, gain 0db. Photos recorded to SD card.
