Hello Dolly
This is a rejected one minute sequence I submitted to a client looking for stock footage. It was rejected for a number of reasons.
1. The first shot (which I think is just magical) was shot through a car window and there were spots on the window that showed up in the shot -- crap 2. The horizon line is off on the second shot although it's a gorgeous scene -- crap Anyway, these shots were taken out of a car window. Kinda pseudo dolly without the setup http://www.pinelakefilms.com/XLH1/snowdolly.wmv |
Very beautiful as always, Steven. Have you tried a sand bag/bean bag on the in an open window? I'm seeing a slight wiggle like the camera is hand held. and your client sure is picky.

I didn't shoot these scenes in a planned way, they just happened to be in my shot arsenal. If I was to deliberately go out and shoot this scene I would definitely use a sandbag of some sort.

Great footage Steven, I love your work as always , your client is little picky I guess.
Did you shoot that in 24f, It looks it. Good stuff !!! |
Thanks Michael. Yes, it is 24f. I never shoot anything else.
|
Steven - When you shot this, did you just capture as HDV, or are you capturing differently?
|
Just HDV to tape
|
thanks. the shots looked clean and I was just curious about whether it was native HDV or at a higher bit rate. very nice as usual
