Need help for My new XLIS audio???

Hi there, I'm a new owner for the XL1s, before this I only had a Sony PC10e. I bought this camera for shooting Wedding and live show, I also bought a Sennheiser 112p combo system, the problem is I want to record both live sound from on board mic and the sound from the PA mixer.

Can I put the line output from PA mixer to my transmitter, and then connect the receiver to the Audio 1 Left channel (min to RCA), and have the on board mic (Sennheiser me64 or can I use the Canon mic?) to the right channel (XLR to RCA), and then set the Audio to Mic mode and leave the audio gain to auto???

the reason for doing this because I can't capture 4-channel with my NLE, and I'm wondering will I get pop / broken sound, and can I still get good control of the volume level from both channels??

Better still can any one suggest a better solution??

thanks, and please forgive my english skill!
Pat.

Using AUTO gain will result in the possibility of loud sound in one channel effecting the level in the other channel. Using manual gain you can avoid that problem, but then you hae to watch levels.

Some NLE's do capture 4-channel sound, including some modest capture programs. Alternatively consider capturing the Audio2 channels with a analog input sound card.

For 4-track have you tried using Scenalyzer? A number of people use it to get 4-track in.

Yes, you can use the transmitter but you will need to use caution to prevent overloading or distorting the transmitter.

Yes, I tried Scenalyzer but it didn't work, because I'm using Window XP! It hang every time when ever I try to capture a clip!

Try checking with the rep. They may have a solution for you when running XP.
