XL1 Shutter Speed- What is the lowest?

I thought I read somewhere that you can go below 1/60 on the shutter speed using the XL1. Is this true? How is it done? I mainly want the slow shutter speeds for shooting waterfalls and fountains. It gives the water a cottony effect which is cool for weddings.

Thanks

The XL1s can shoot shutter speeds as low as 1/8. You just dial it down.

If you don't own the camera you can download its manual from the Canon site.

I don't have the XL1s, but I thought there was a way to get the shutter speed lower than 1/60 on the XL1 using a hidden method.

Its not hidden, its in the manual. You go under menu and select the digital effects menu and then slow shutter. You have choices of 1/30, 1/15, and 1/8 of a second.
