Canon SP-100

I just bought an SP-100 for my XL1S and want to know if anyone has used this pad and if it's adjustable? It doesn't fit well in it's present configuration (no instructions in the box). I have an MA200 which fits fine but is adjustable. Thanks, Ed

Hi Ed.....

Think you may have had a better hit rate if you'd said the SP - 100 is the bog standard rear flip down pad that comes stock with the camera (well, everywhere I've ever seen an XL1s it's been standard "in the box" equipment).

Be that as it may, nope, it ain't adjustable and no, it never fitted well in practically any configuration.

It was, er, is better than nothing however, which isn't saying a whole lot, I know.

The instructions, such as they are, are on page 22 of the XL1s manual, well, they are on the PAL unit anyway.

As Chris says, not many folks used the SP-100. I probably tried it once or twice, did not care for it, even if better than nothing.

Personally, I installed a MA100 early on, and never looked back.

Thanks Chris. It's just a poor design I'llhave to live with.

Think I'll give up on it and leave the MA100 attached. Thanks again, Ed
