Back noise Canon Xl 1s

My Canon xl 1s makes a background noise. When the ambient noise is under it is heard a constant noise that disappears upon separating the microphone from the body from the chamber.
My Canon has 10 months, I wanted to know your opinion before sending it to a technical service. The microphone with the one which I record it is the own of the Camera.

Chances are that you are hearing the zoom motor noise. Usually this is not noticable unless the room is quiet.

The solution is to use an isolator like one from Lightwave Audio Systems. The MM-XL mini-mount which will greatly reduce the noise picked up by the mic.

My Rate Canon Xl1s is in guarantee, I ask the users, if this
you/them passes also, since then would not be a breakdown.
The background noise that is recorded is not due to zoom , I believe that it is provoked by
the motor of the compresses, since upon connecting the chamber already is heard.
What is recorded is exclusively it produced by the electronics of the camera.
Forgive that it insist and ask the users:

have you this problem?
Response is Not, I will send the camera to the technical service and.....?
Imagin, it can come worse than what was.

The various motor noises are normal and are common to all cameras at various levels.

The best way to avoid it is to use an isolating mount, shotgun mic and/or seperate the mic from the camera.

Response is "Yes." But it is not a breakdown or problem--not one that the technical service can correct, anyway.

One item to check. If the mic clamp screw is too tight it compressed the vibration isolation material in the mic holder too much and mechanial noise is coupled to the mic.
