Free sounds?

I'm currently without a microphone and will probably wind up ordering a replacement from overseas. In the meantime, I'm in need of both a "heavy breathing" and "heartbeat" sound effects for a project I'm putting together. Anyone know a source on the web that might have these for free? Or at least cheap?

Don't want to spend too much since I'll just make things like this myself when I get a new mic.

Thanks.

Oops! Should've explained...it's ONLY a "suspense" flick. Nothing more. (the crowd groans in disappointment)

Geez...me and my mouth...er, keyboard.

Thanks for the URL, Ken. Going to check it out now.

I thought that might hit the spot. I've spent many an otherwise quiet evening browsing sounds there, sometimes much to my sleepy wife's dismay. It's astonishing to see how many sounds they can point you to.

Mics? We don' need no stinkin' mics.

I found the heartbeat and heavy breathing (a la Darth Vader) with no problems...thanks to you, Ken...but I'm having trouble finding one last sound. Maybe you've heard something like it before here and can point me in the right direction.

I need something along the lines of an implosion/reverse explosion...imagine the sound of Jeannie when she'd go back in her bottle...or a cartoon sound of Wyle E. Coyote getting sucked into a jar.

I tried searching implosion, reverse explosion, genie, seal (as in airtight seal...all I got were barking sounds), vaccuum...but no luck finding anything really useable. Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot Ken. The site's gonna come in really handy.

In regards to the implosion John, have you tried reversing an explosion in your system. I don't know if it would work but it may give you the desired effect.

Hi Mastermind,

Yep...I thought about it. But the sounds I found to reverse don't come out right when flip-flopped. I'm looking for something with more of an air "whoosh" sound, but in reverse.

I tried reversing a couple of the explosions I found on FindSounds.com, but they have a very harsh edge to them.

I know this won't help you no John but when you get here I]ll give you a small app called SymSynth. It's a great little tone generator that will do just what you're after.
