Barring all obvious concerns...

I am looking at an XL1S, used, and just came across an
opportunity to instead purchase, used, two XL1's for
a little bit more. Am I better off with the XL1S and waiting
for a second camera or is the difference little enough to
justify the benefits of having two cameras. I'll be doing a lot
of different stuff but a bunch of music video stuff and
being able to catch multiple angles with a live performance
seems really appealing. I anticipate some low light needs
but not like 'night time' low light. There will a alot of colored
stage lighting. Really was hoping for some input.

Thanks very much for your time.

Well ultimately you have to make the decision for yourself because there are too many parameters for all of us to know, but...from what I can tell, I would go with one camera. You can do pretty much anything with a little enginuity with just one camera. If you are for sure going to do multiple camera shoots often, then get two, but it sounds like you are wanting to do stuff that can be done with only one. Only get two if you are going to need two on a highly regular basis, otherwise it would just be cheaper to rent if you only need it once a year or something. An extra camera sitting around is wasted money that could be invested in something else. IMO :)

How could I get mulitple angles with just one camera?

If you can have actors repeat actions...they do this in the movies alot, then thats how. But if you are dealing with amatuer actors or an event that only can be repeated once, then you need more than one camera.
