xl1 needing repaired

does anyone know where i can get my xl1 serviced? i live in Perth, Scotland. not jessops or the likes.

Andy Graham December 22nd, 2005 01:17 PM

Hi Chris,
Last year we were about to start shoot i had a particularly bad accident with my xl1s, i was doing some test on a crane when it collapsed and the camera fell 12 feet to the ground and the base plate and lens broke off (still makes me cringe i only had it a week!).It was in a mess to put it mildly anayway i found a company in Glasgow called A.J Johnstone & Co Ltd who i found to be extremely helpfull and professional who , because of my urgent need, fast tracked it to canon engineers in London and had it fixed and back to me before my shoot. I am certain they would do a good job of servicing your xl1. It's been a couple of weeks since your post so im not sure if you are still looking but i'll give you their details anyway.Hope this helps you out.

merry christmas Andy.

P.S for the repairs i got it was around £550 however they were severe so i would not expect a service to cost too much
