footage from XL-1s

hey guys...I have some footage shot from my Xl1s a couple summers ago. It is shot in 16:9 and in frame mode...all color was corrected in post to give it an older feel. If you want to see what it looks like go check it out...I was impressed with how well it held up. Sorry about the compression on it...ifilm will do that to you.

I really like how you matched the color. It gives a true vibe to the emotion of your video.

just curious how you did the gun muzzle flashes in that war theme film?

Alan Larsen June 14th, 2006 12:17 AM

thanks guys...i made the muzzle flashes in Combustion. You can do them also in After Effects very easily. The flashes if i remember correctly are 2 frames in length and occasionally only 1. The tracer bullets were made in aftereffects. I applied all the muzzle flashes and tracers after i color corrected.

It just goes to show that skills are more important than the equipment.

That looks pretty snazzy. Nice.

Roger Rosales June 27th, 2006 11:29 AM
