Physically attach receiver to camera

Does anyone physically attach a wireless mic receiver to their xl1s by some means other than an MA-100 or MA-200? If so, how?

Please note that I am NOT talking about making the connections--just physically attaching the receiver to the camera so I can walk around with the camera.

Thanks.

There are no pretty solutions, Steve. Velcro tape on the door-side is probably the most common solution. Azden features a receiver that slides into the shoe on the top of the camera.

I mount my Sennheiser to the side of the handle above the tape door with gorilla velcro.

This sheds light on my biggest general complaint with the XL1 / XL1s' industrial design. It can make its operators look more like traveling tinkerers rather than professional photographers.

I would get the MA-100 or 200 for this reason alone. It gives you places to attach your accesories. I sometimes attach the MM-1 preamp, CH-910 dual battery holder and my wireless receiver all to my MA-200. I can't imagine attaching those 3 items any other way.
