VL compatibility with XL1
 

some places advertize the vl lenses and adapters are compatibile with
Xl1 What do you think ? i.e. Extender CL 2X, CL 5-15mm Wide Angle Lens
CL 8-120mm Zoom Lens, EOS Adapter VL

Canon VL series lenses were for the L1/L2 series camcorders. It is a different size mount, and the lenses were designed for a single 1/2" CCD, not for a 1/3" CCD with prism.

As far as I know, no one has brought out an adapter that would allow mounting a VL lens on an XL1.

The XL1/XL1s takes XL series lenses and adapters.
