Rendering

I captured V1U and HV20 footage using Cineform FilmScan1 setting and the 24p pulldown checkbox specifically for these two cameras. Footage looks great (although I haven't figured out why the HV20 footage is jumpy until I've already viewed a clip while the V1U footage is not). I want to render a 5 minute clip to be used only on a computer viewed via an HD projector. What would I render as using HD settings given that the footage is already rendered into 24p, and the V1U is 1440 x 1080 and the HV20 is 1920? I'd like to try WMV, but the few options I tried locked up Vegas. When I render to mp4, only QT plays it, and it is extremely jumpy.

Both cameras are 1440x1080. Why no just play out as a full res CineForm AVI (if you PC is capable.) If you can't play full frame AVIs, you will most likely have trouble with WMV or 264 encode 1080p clip, in that case export as 720p, which will play smoothly everywhere.

Nice. I rendered in WMV 720p and it came out well. If I render to full res Cineform AVI (1080 24p intermediate, I assume), will someone without Cineform be able to play this via a widely used media player?

CineForm AVI files can be played on any Windows XP/Vista PC and CineForm MOV Intel Mac on any player supporting DirectShow or Quicktime respectivily. The decoders are free, here is the link for all the free components : http://www.cineform.com/products/Dow...layerStart.htm
