Playback in WMD is DARK as if Codec is missing
Hi, just downloaded NEO Player, Already have Neo HDV installed. A bit after my Windows Media Player palys back all the cineform avi. files dark and not really visible. I tried uninstalling both Neo Player and Neo HDV and installing seperately, but it seems like something's busted. Any suggestions?

There is no need to every install NEO Player if you have any other CineForm product installed -- it will reduce your functionality -- so uninstall both and reinstall NEO HDV. NEO Player is designed for people how don't have a CineForm product but want to decode and use CineForm files.
Richard is correct, your graphics card settings are wrong for the overlay -- a typically NVidia default bug. You can adjusted the overlay's contrast, brightness and saturation. |
Nvidia Card, not Cineform
I have found a bug in the Nvidia video overlay, on my system. I play a 3D game online. If I open the game and run it, then close it and try to watch a video, (avi, DVD, etc.) I get the black screen with pure white barely visible, and a bit red. I restart my machine and all is well. Since this happens on any video, QT player included, it's the damn nvidia card, man, these cards are nothing but problems. Oh well, I get 250fps in my 3D game......
