Cineform and TMPGEnc software.
Does anyone know if Cineform CFHD .avi files and TMPGEnc software get on with each other.
Is there a worthwhile advantage to using this encoder over Adobe's licenced MainConcept encoder for DVD-Video disk builds. Advice will be greatly appreciated. |
Yes, very well actually.

Nice interface for tweaking data rates, frame size, etc. A Swiss Army knife for outputting and converting. |
On previous tests of MiniDV it seemed to work better. With groundglass relay imaging, I need to have as little resolution and colour fidelity loss as I can possibly get.
The "free" version ran out after 30 days before I got round to test it with CFHD and the donkey trap will not let me un-install and re-install. So before I buy in the real thing I wanted to know if would stumble in its dance with Cineform. |

Been using Prospect and TMPGenc for the past year. TMPGenc proves to be the best bang for your buck. |
I used Aspect in CS3 and got faded colors and greys instead of blacks with the MainConcept encoder. I now frameserve with DebugMode to Tmpgenc. Colors are great, blacks are black. Worth the hundred bucks.
