Latest build of Neo HD causes Sound Forge Crash
David...
Sorry to be the continuing bearer of bad news. I just updated my Neo HD install to v3.2.3 build 150. Now Sony Soundforge hard crashes when it tries to load the Video Cache Manager. I uninstalled Neo; and, Soundforge works again. |
Could be Sony Soundforge bug. ;) We didn't add anything, only bug fixes, although have put pathces in for Sony products in the past. We currently don't test with Soundforge.
|
I also posted a trouble report to Sony. Runtime error.
|
I just installed the Soundforge trial and it worked fine with NEO installed.
|
hmmm...
both my laptop and workstation are failing to run soundforge unless I uninstall Neo. Guess I'll go back to an earlier version of Neo HD to see if it matters. I know SF was working a few days ago. any ideas? edit: OK, I uninstalled Neo v 3.2.3 and re-installed Neo v 3.2.2 b148 and Soundforge starts just fine. |
Could you confirm that it is only the CFHD.dll that is the course. Remove it from windows/system32 with build 150 installed--Sony doesn't tend to use anything ease. If that is the case I might can a few versions from you to try.
|
OK....
removed CFHD.dll from system 32 (with build 150)...no difference, SF still fails. (Don't know if it matters, but, I tried reinstalling b150, and SF worked a few times, then crashed again) |
NEO HDV build 150 crashes my SoFo also (initiated from Vegas). Gives runtime error from c++ redistributable.
Reverting back to build 148 corrects the situation. Obviously there is something weird happening there... SF 9c build 405. David: check also this thread. Could these be related? |
