Media Player for Vista playback
 

What is a good media player to use under Vista Home Premium to play the Cineform dvi files?

I am installed on an Dell XPS M1330, 4G RAM, Core2Duo T7500, nVidia8400, 7200rpm SATA drive.

They play fine from within PP CS3 on the notebook.
Windows Media player either refuses to play, crashes or greatly distorts the playback.
I could not get VLC to play anything but the audio, even after trying all the tweaks I read online.
Media Player Classic 6.4.9.0 plays the file, but color is washed out and any motion tends to get highly pixelated, even after I set playback to off/quality.
