Neo Scene won't capture
 

Installed demo version. Capturing HDV format.
Open program and transport controls work. Set preferences to capture and convert. Program stalled. Reset to capture M2t. files only, convert after. Hit capture/start and nothing happens. Get spinning windows icon. Have to close the program.

2nd question: do u have to open Scene as a separate program or can it be set up to open with the capture selections inside Vegas.

3rd question: How do u preview (look at) the capture once it's happening or as it's happening? Can you? Does the Vegas capture preview window come into play?

1. Can Vegas capture the video? If not either, then the problem is with your PC.
2. It's separate.
3. You look at the footage after it's got captured, and you keep/delete what you want afterwards. Cineform will capture everything, until you tell it to stop.

yes, I can use Vegas to capture video, either DV or HDV. The Cineform capture is not working.

#3-So the only way to watch what your capturing is to use the camera viewfinder?

David, I'm getting exactly the same problem trying to capture HDV from my FX1. Neo Scene closes every time with either option...

Forget it. Just use Vegas directly and edit in HDV. It can handle it.
