Prospect HD overwriting 001.avi with second scene detect
I've just upgraded from Aspect HD 5.4.6 to Prospect HD 3.4.9. Everything was working fine for a few days, but then it started capturing incorrectly.
It begins capturing the first scene as XXXXX-001.avi, then on scene detect finds the next cut for the second scene and beings to overwrite the first clip with XXXXX-001.avi instead of XXXXX-002.avi. But after that it captures subsequent scenes properly (002.avi, 003.avi, 004.avi, etc.) The first scene is never captured. I've un-installed, cleared cache, restarted and re-installed and still have the error. Upgraded to Prospect for the Premiere CS4 switch coming up, so going back to Aspect is not an option. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Rewinding and capturing without scene detect and finding the cut it entirely too time consuming and a pain. Thanks! |
Does the same for me too - thought it was something I was doing...
Second scene overwrites the first captured - am using Prospect HD's HD Link. |
Talk to support, they likely have a solution.

happens to me too. support told me to capture with scene detect then turn it off and capture the footage in the first scene. They said their people were working on it and watch for an upgrade/fix

I am in the same boat. Let me know when you hear something. I also upgraded to Prospect from Aspect, but since I had to rebuild the whole PC, I didn't bother with Aspect anymore
