FirstLight for Cineform:

What is Firstlight?

I heard the press release is coming next week but can someone give me a quick summary of what it is and does?

I own Prospect HD.

thanks,

Simon

I only know what has been let out on the forums, but this is it:

1. One of the Cineform people said, "Think of it as Lightroom for video." -- and I think I have quoted that pretty accurately.
2. It will be available for Neo and Prospect HD and 4k.
3. It is an "extension" of the metadata property manipulation that was previously available only in Prospect 4K _inside_ Adobe Premiere.
4. It is a stand-alone application.
5. In some way it allows non-destructive manipulation of color and gamma properties of the video with metadata.

Again, this is just a paraphrase and interpretation of comments the Cineform people have made on the forum, and I am hoping I remember them accurately.

The information has been a bit cryptic, but as you note in your post, the official press release on the application is supposed to be released next week.

WOW!

And it is included with Prospect HD v4. Very cool!

I can't wait!

I love lightroom. If it is anything similar, this could be pretty useful.

Thanks for the info,

Simon
