Prospect HD 4 does not work in Premiere CS3 or CS4

Every build of Prospect HD 4 does not work in either CS3 or CS4.
There is no RT playback and the playback stutters and sticks.

Contact support as you likely have an install issue. CS3 work betters than v3.x release plus the new features, and CS4 is improving with each release.

So, David, just to confirm, the RT engine/acceleration in PHDv4 DOES work with CS3, just not CS4? I've been waiting to DL PHD4 as I've been using CS3 and PHD3 until everything is ready and perfect on both sides.

David Newman June 2nd, 2009 01:43 PM

Yes, the remaining issues are only in CS4.

I am experiencing total failure of the real-time engine.

I have opened a support ticket with several queries but it takes an excessively long time for a response and I never get a solution that works.

This is nothing new since I have experienced a lot of technical issues with Cineform software and I regret that I ever started using Cineform software since Aspect HD was released. If I had a good alternative I would be using it. This is a horrible situation to be in.

You should make sure that in PP CS3 you are using a Cineform preset or you won't get RT playback.

I am using a Cineform preset.

Prospect HD 3 actually worked in RT but I still had a variety of other issues when using Prospect and Aspect HD since I began using them.

Dustin,

The only other thing that I can think of is the locations of CS4 and CS3. If they are both on the C: drive, the Prospect HD installer works fine. If one is on the D: drive (or something other than C:), that version may not get a complete install. I doubt that's your problem, but you never know. If you search this forum, there are a few recent threads that tells show how to get both to install correctly. Here's one:
