Xena LHe preview in Vegas ?

Hello Cineformumites:)

After scouring through the relevant forums I’m here to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth:

Can I use AJA Xena LHe cards for previewing Neo HD and Neo Scene in Sony Vegas 7/8 or 9?

Thank you

Stephen Armour December 16th, 2009 12:28 PM

Maybe that's "Cineformers" or "Cineformies"...or even "Cineformernuts"..."or finally ... 'Cineforumers"

Mike Calla December 16th, 2009 07:05 PM

I live in China so how about "cineformmunist"

Ok seriously though:)

Xena and Vegas, Previewing Cineform - does it work?

Stephen Armour December 17th, 2009 04:38 AM

Guess nobody's home, Mike.

To get attention and answers, maybe you need to do a new entry with the title "Vegas-AJA merger?". Then all the Vegas users will jump on it and maybe you'll get an answer.

For what it's worth, I found this info, but nothing Cineform specific: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/...ena&col=sonyms

(oh, and "Commuformers" would work too...)

Thanks Stephen

Yep, i tried that exact search myself... so vague. It says, "AJA Xena LH and LHe board support"--- doesn't say which formats it works with:(

I'm not worried, I'm sure one of the Davids (Taylor or Newman) will chime sooner or later:)

David Newman December 17th, 2009 10:16 AM

Out all of yesterday.

We don't impact the output option within Vegas, so if it supports AJA output we will be supported. I haven't tried it.

Stephen Armour December 17th, 2009 05:42 PM

There, you got it from the CTO's mouth!

Apparently they do, since they've had info in the past on their forum about it.

Mike Calla December 17th, 2009 07:41 PM

Thanks David,
Well, that's about as close to "YES" as one can get!

'Preciate it!

PS
I always search high and low before i post and couldn't any definitive answers to my question this time. But i find it great that i can come here, in a forum i frequent a few times a week, and get answers about a product i use religiously from the founders of the company!
