Cineform and audio processing

Hi David,

The one thing that I can't find much information about is how Cineform processes HDV audio. Does it transcode the original mpeg audio to a different file type? If so, do you have the option to select the type of audio you would like to edit with?

We take the compressed MPEG audio and convert to uncompressed 48k 16bit stereo, and store as uncompressed (within the AVI.) Audio bit-rates are so low compared with HD, there is no point in having it compressed.

Thanks.
