Decklink SDI card Neo HD support..

Hi! I was looking for an option to record 10-bit 4:2:2 hd-sdi from a PMW-EX1. Is the DeckLink SDI the cheapest option to actually ingest 4:2:2 1080i HD-SDI with Cineform NeoHD ?
I am concerned about it actually being 10-bit internally, as the Intensity card advertised 10-bit internally but were only 8-bit..
Another concern is whether it actually allows HD recording. Some of the earlier HD-SDI cards were NTSC/PAL SD resolution only..

Any of the Decklinks card will work for 10-bit HD.

Hi David. My concern was if they were internally 10-bit. The BM Intensity cards had a 10-bit option when they came out. Turned out that the internal processing was only 8-bit.
I guess my question is :-
Can I use NeoHD + Decklink SDI to ingest 10-bit 4:2:2 via HD-SDI ? I was going to use the EX1 for this shoot..

Yes, absolutely. Intensity is only a 1-lane PCI-e card, an issue for 10-bit, all the others are 4-lane or better.

You hit the problem on the head. If you click through the link you had above, ALL the Decklink cards say :-
Card type PCI Express 1 lane, compatible with 1,4,8 and 16 lane PCIe slots.

Thats for Decklink SDI, Optical Fibre and Studio.

Just wondering if Cineform has had these cards in for actual testing..

We have a range of higher-end Decklink cards, they all work in 10-bit. We don't have the $295 Decklink. If you have doubts, get an AJA card.

The BM 1 lane cards don't work with the Asus P6T series motherboards at the moment either, just in case you're using one with an i7 (Blackmagic Design: Support Detail).
