Maintain Source Frame Format
I'm using HDLink and I select a 1920x1080p 29.97fps .MOV produced by my Canon 5D Mk2 camera.
But: I'm using the Movie Studio 10HD and I select "Match Media settings" and select a Cineform HDLink converted AVI file. Then in Movie Studio 10HD I select new project and choose the bottom Video type "Match media settings" and select the converted AVI file. When I open up the resultant project properties it selects the HD 1080-60i (1920x1080, 29.970fps) template. Souldn't have selected the HD 1080-30p (1920x1080, 29.970fps) template? Can't figure out if Cineform or VMS is doing this but I need to find out. Appreciate any explanation! |
AVI headers don't indicate 30p vs 60i, so you have to override this in you editing software.

Thanks David,
So Movie Studio is guessing the AVI is 60i? Harry |
Yes, as 60i is more common than 30p.
